The Future is in the Past: Today Way Back When
On August 28, 1917, 92 years ago, ten women were arrested for protesting outside the white house. Women held signs asking the President to make a change in our country and allow the beginnings of equality between sexes by allowing women to vote. They asked, “How long must women wait for liberty?” and “Mr President What Will you do for Women Suffrage?”
These women are an inspiration to us at Vintage Blue. So often we forget that not so long ago women were not able to stand strong and free. Keep fighting for liberties we still don’t have in the U.S. and ones for women abroad who have no voices.
