Asher Roth MTV Video Shoot

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Everything happens for a reason. Liza is not meant to be stuck in an office sitting behind a desk making cold calls. So on this faithful day she left her 9 to 5 behind and hit the open road riding up 95 with her partner Set Free ready to make it happen.

Just another day on the grind, led us to the Asher Roth MTV Video shoot, in case your like Asher who? He’s hip hop’s next great white hope, hailing from Pa, compared to the likes of Eminem and taking over the airwaves with his new single “I Love College

We rolled up on the set and blessed Asher with some Undrcrwn gear, our partner Set Free’s line and laced the girls with some Vintage Blue tees  which will be featured in the next Asher Roth video on MTV.

Look for us on MTV, until next adventure. Peace Out!!!

America I Am

Monday, February 9th, 2009

I had the opportunity last week to attend the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) event at the National Constitution Center. The event was held to recognize and thank Philadelphia’s underground creative scene and the people driving it.

Creative entrepreneurs and cultural influencers who have not typically been part of the tourism efforts were invited and showcased to a room of influential movers and shakers from the Philadelphia region.

The group they chose to highlight was a group of powerful ambassadors for the Philadelphia brand and it was refreshing to see this orgnization recognizing their talent and significant contributions to the city’s cultural scene and economy.

Some of the people (a lot of them that I know personally from our partner Set Free) included FlyGirl Stacy to world famous Dj, Rich Medina and King Britt.   It was a great feeling to be part of this momentous occassion to celebrate all their accomplishments.

The night ended with some aspiring words from Mayor Nutter and all attendes were invited to check out the Travis Smiley’s “America I AM” exhibition. America I AM  is an exhibition, celebrating nearly 500 years of African American contributions to our country. The exhibit was very moving for me and really put things in perspective. We take a lot for granted and are extremely blessed with all the opportunities we have. So many people before us went through so much from slavery to being hosed down, and we stand here, enjoying our freedom today.

It was truly an amazing night; congrats Set Free for being recognized as a Creative Ambassador for the City of Philadelphia.

Set Free’s Big B-Day Bash

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Grown and Sexy that was the vibe at Set Free’s birthday party at the Sole Food Restaurant at the Loews Hotel. All the brothers was dressed to impress and the ladies did not disappoint. Set Free shut it down in his designer suit with the Louis scarf to match!

You couldn’t tell the birthday boy anything! The drinks stayed flowing and the crowd stayed grooving to the sounds of DJ S&S. Which I have to mention had the place crazy when he did a melody of the 70’s and 80’s hits. When he dropped “Posion….You can’t trust a big butt and a smile” everyone lost it!

All and All it was a very successful night. Thanks to everyone who came from Boston, NYC and even NC to party with us. Until next year, CHEERS!!!
